Orikabe is from the Japanese words "ori" meaning "folding" and "kabe" meaning "wall." In the debut for tatō, PTRKLLR continues his exploration of acoustic texturalism, lowercase noise walls, and acousmatic minimalism with the sounds of folding the very origami pouches that are encasing this release. The sounds were recorded while the paper envelopes were folded, then minimally layered but left raw and unprocessed to preserve the inward close-up sounds of paper walls being folded, collapsed, opened up, and creased.
