Peter Keller's debut under the moniker of PTRKLLR is an entry into a new label of minimalist sounds called "lowercase noise wall." Artist Steve Roden coined the label "lowercase" to describe normally quiet and almost imperceptible minimalist sounds that are amplified to extreme levels. Here PTRKLLR takes a lowercase approach to "noise wall" -- in a nod to Roden's 2001 release "Forms of Paper," he made acoustic recordings of paper manipulation and created raw dense walls of textures.
